I chose ebay standard envelope to ship but when I went to print a label to ship it still charged me ove $3. What am I doing wrong?

Humm, did you set the correct ounce total? If it was set for 4 or more ounces it won't give you a price for eBay standard envelope. The other possibility is sometimes when I go to print out a label it will randomly choose one of the other options ebay package/media mail/flat rate box. I then just have to choose the correct eBay standard envelope option. It doesn't happen a lot but maybe two or three times a day for me. Possibly one of those two things happen. They would be the first things I think of.

Was the sale over $20? I believe the envelope option goes poof over that.

Your item must meet eBay qualifications for eBay Envelope shipping. If the eBay bot does not find that it qualifies, it will automatically switch shipping to the next available level. I have found that in selling stamps this will happen when the category I use is not one that eBay considers valid.

Wait til you send stuff over 1lb.

No. It was $3

What is the item number? Was it listed in the right category?

Was the location Puerto Rico? When buyers enter PR as a country instead of a state it eliminates ESE from the shipping options so you have to make the necessary address adjustment.
Other than that, your $3 sale for the Steelers card lot was listed in an eligible category so the next things I would check are package dimensions and weight. if you had a typo in there then it could disqualify your shipment from eligibility @sobrinocody.

Your stuff is not high end yet. A .58 or 1.30 stamp with cardboard inside a small envelope will do for a card.
I guess you are looking for tracking for shipping the item. I use tracking for stuff over $50.00 or for someone with strange feedback or address. Most buyers in the USA for shipping stuff are honest. Plus your stuff will probably have repeat buyers which is even better.

Thank you

The categories allowed for ESS are very narrow. Did you list your item in the proper category?
