Good afternoon. I'd appreciate any insight into something I just noticed.
I went to ship a pair of pants. I changed nothing withing the shipping calculator. (Then I changed size but not weight, which caused no changes).
Ebay charged the buyer $9.72, is charging me $8.05, and states 'on ebay you save 29%', then states 'buying on ebay, you saved $3.35'. This is a 17% savings, not 29%. I did not save $3.35, I saved $1.67. Shipping is from 15012 to 62892. According to Pirate Ship, retail shipping is $11.40 for this package. It looks as if ebay is discounting my shipping. I remember a while back, we had to opt out of this, and I did. Did they perhaps restart this and I missed it?

Shows a charge of $9.72 to the extremes ....... be it .................North, South, East, or West of you.

On ebay's shipping calculator, it shows I should be charged $7.76.

OK, now the 12 to 18" is making a difference. It did not before. I'm figuring this out and will probably kick myself here shortly.

Looks like ebay may have under estimated the charge to the buyer, here is updated PS fee showing retail of $11.40.

ok, I exited and reentered the shipping page. Totals are still off, and it looks like to me that ebay undercharged the buyer according to the original size and weight I have entered for the item.

Yes, as my grandson calmly stated to me once, "Granny, I know your eyes are old, but you have to see this". Well, dear grandson, Granny's brain is catching up to my eyes. I now recall doing flat shipping on clothing to try to sell more of it. I just wasted so much of my time trying to figure myself out. Thank you so much, buyselljack2016.

Ebay did not make a mistake, I did.

Stuff happens. My old brain was thrown off track just recently when scrolling down my "active listings" in the seller's hub and noted that 2 listings were showing "best offer". WHAT? I don't do best offers. Well, guess what, I did, and had set the auto decline as well as the auto accept amounts on those 2 confirming that fact🤣
