Hopefully someone can help with this issue. I sold a pair of earrings on Aug 9th with no returns accepted with international shipping (GSC), and they were confirmed delivered on Sep 2nd to a buyer in Israel. This morning I was notified by Ebay that I had a return request based on the comments "I just didn't like them." and "I thought they were bigger." I double checked the original listing and sure enough it says, no returns accepted.
I contacted customer service and after an hour on the phone the rep couldn't figure out why it was allowing the return request at all. He told me it sounded like a tech glitch but didn't have any way to remedy the return. His advice, "accept the return and hope they choose not to ship it back because of the original postage cost and the cost associated with getting the item back to you" He wrote up a tech ticket, but basically said that the issue may time out and you'll be forced to return the item. Anybody have anything similar happen? Any advice.
Thanks all!

what was the 'reason' used for the return on the return case? were you given the option to say 'no' (means it was buyer remorse, and with 'no returns' you can say 'no'- all other reasons (missing parts, not as described' etc.) forces you to take the return (the 'no returns' does NOT mean no refunds as buyers have 30 day money back guarantee).

"I just didn't like them."
I was given no options to decline the return.
My options,
Accept the Return.
Give full refund.
Message buyer.
The customer service red said the comments buy the buyer equate to buyer's remorse or ordered the wrong item. He basically said he didn't know why I didn't have anyway to decline the return.

No returns, does not mean NO REFUNDS.

True, but this isn't question about refunds it's about returns.
That I don't accept international returns and this isn't a SNAD case.
Not to mention this falls under buyer's remorse or bought the wrong item.

Is it possible that was just the 'comment' that the buyer wrote, but the 'reason' for the return, shown on the return case was one of the others that does not allow a 'no'?
With a SNAD, doesn't the 'buyer' still have to pay to get it returned back to GS?

No, buyer wouldn't have to pay for a return for a SNAD for a gsp transaction. There are a couple different scenarios in snad gsp claims but I don't this is a snad. If it was, I think that the option to accept return would also mention provide return label.

Sounds like a system glitch as support mentioned. If the item in question truly shows no returns then you should be able to decline a remorse return last I knew.

GSP listings don't show any type of return policy but like you I thought that if you didn't have international returns checked off then you didn't have to accept buyer remorse returns. I wonder though if ebay considers this a domestic sale since you shipped domestically and therefore allows returns??I
For a remorse return I would probably accept it as the buyer is responsible for return shipping. BUT I would mention to the buyer that the GSP does not support this type of return so it is unlikely that they will return the import fees or the international shipping portion to the buyer. This might deter them from following up on the return.

So if I sell a $100 item, and it costs $12 MFR USPS to Kentucky, now the return from Russia costs $65- seller now pays $65 to get item back on a SNAD?

If the item was damaged in shipping or switched at the gsp depot, the gsp will refund in full without requiring a return. If the snad is deemed to be a seller's mistake yes, you would be responsible for paying for return shipping from Russia or you could just refund. In both situations, the gsp would refund the international shipping fees and the import fees to the buyer.

If the snad was because the item was damaged in shipping or switched at the gsp depot, the gsp would be responsible for refunding in full and they don't require a return. If the snad is deemed to be the seller's responsibility than yes, you would be responsible for return shipping from Russia to your location. When you refunded, you would have to refund the item price and shipping to Kentucky...the gsp would refund the amounts paid to them.
