Ebay return label has the wrong shipping class

Hi all,

Seller agreed to my return.  The shipping label to me was priority mail for $5.95.  The return label is for first class, so that won't work.  Package weighs 2.5 lbs.  If I buy the postage, it costs $20 to return a $20 item.   I'm responsible for the return shipping cost.  The seller said the label is from ebay and, of course, they're not in the office at this time.  Any ideas how to get the right label?

And if I say forget it and list it on ebay, am I charged for that first class label I was sent?

It's some cabinet hinges, btw.

It works ... eBay frequently issues First Class return labels for Priority Mail returns.  As long as the post office accepts the package, and they typically do, then the USPS will work with eBay or the seller to make sure that proper return postage is paid.

 It is a "return service".

I sent back a 5 + pound package with the eBay "return service" label without issue.

Scanned, and accepted at the USPS counter.

Rejection of these items is likely an error in understanding.

Sounds like a plan. By the way, not sure if you planned on doing it, but I would not ask the counter person if it was OK to send it that way.

Sometimes the least input to the thought process is the best route.

When in doubt.........................   some will make up their own rules, or apply those that do not apply. (like talking to CS at times)
