Ebay return case pending

I opened a return, and asked ebay to step in, they placed the case on hold for 5 days 2 times to give the seller time to provide means of return. Last day, i didnt receieved the return label, or the funds from the seller, and i asked ebay about it. Ebay said that the case is already closed in my favor, but the case is still pending, and they said that it will take more time because its a high value item and they waiting for the supervisor approval. Then the seller gave the shipping later the same day, about 6 hours later. After 3 days its still pending, and i asked about it, and they said they still waiting, but they made a decision on august 30 and waiting for approval. What does it mean?

It means that the person who said it was done did not have the authority to do so so: So this has been kicked up to a higher level which, may or may not be found in your favor.

What do you mean by "Then the seller gave the shipping later the same day, about 6 hours later."  Are you saying that they gave you the money for shipping?  If so, it's possible that they are now waiting for you to ship the item back but you are probably going to have to contact ebay to know for sure.
