Ebay ordered package stuck at Chicago, IL ISC USPS for 11 days.

As do so many people, this is noting the slow service at Chicago, IL  ISC USPS.  Ordered an iPad cover from the UK.   2 days to process & ship in GB.   3 days for it to go about 4,000 miles from GB to Chicago, IL ISC.  Seller's estimate was package to arrive my location in Houston, Tx between Aug 22 -31.  Of course once the order was done the delivery estimate became the 31st.  Today is the 31st & tracking has not been updated to show the package has left Chicago IL ISC.

According to tracking, the package has now been stuck at Chicago, IL ISC for 11 days.  So, almost 4,000 international miles in 3 days & it only has to go 1,000 miles in the US but tracking info shows it is still at Chicago, IL ISC.  It is amazing how inefficient and slow  for so long the USPS is without changes being mandated to improve it.  A private company would be out of business if it was so inefficient and slow but such inefficiency seems to be tolerated & even expected for government related entities .

I purchased an item on October 16th 2024 the label was created on October 24th this is coming from Seoul South Korea November 27th was the last day that it should have been delivered it was not I contacted the seller do not much avail very broken English finally on the 1st of December I noticed it miraculously appeared in our Dreadful Chicago ISC where it set for 3 days and did not move apparently now it has cleared customs and hopefully we'll be delivered to my town I'm hoping as we're speaking because waiting on an item for almost 2 months is a bit ridiculous I almost canceled my order several times but unfortunately this is the only place that I can find this item for sale so I'm trying to bear with it but never again I will do without if I have to order anything from overseas and the USPS is the epitome of mail delivery
