Hi All
I clearly wrote (and sold before) on the international shipping section, the correct price (this time 65 usd). However, I also wrote 20$ for domestic shipping.
Now, a buyer, international, bought my product but ebay made an error and instead of paying me 65usd for international shipping as advertised (see picture), they only paid me 20$.
How do I need to proceed? I already informed the buyer of the mistake on ebay's part, but what happens next?
Kind regards

The American counterparts see the item being NOT in the US, but are able to still choose from 2 different shipping method, the cheaper domestic version, and the more expensive international version. ...

A minor correction because there's still a misunderstanding here.
Buyers in the USA are able to see the item's location, yes. However, they can't choose to pay a higher shipping cost ... they are only able to choose between the available shipping costs to the buyer's actual shipping address.
For your listings (before you edited them, and then ended them) you had one shipping cost to the USA ("domestic" on eBay.com, even though the item was located in Switzerland). The buyer can't edit or adjust the shipping cost, and they can't choose to pay a shipping cost that was set for another region or location. There was only one shipping service available to the USA, and that was the lower cost "domestic" shipping. The buyer's didn't have any choice, they had to pay that much when they purchased the item.
I wouldn't say that this was "your fault", certainly not. It was a misunderstanding, and a fairly common one. Many global sellers on eBay.com misunderstand this, until they get caught by it.
I believe that your earlier listings had the same shipping cost on the listings for both domestic and international shipping, which would have avoided the issue for USA buyers. That's probably why you didn't encounter this before.
If you want to reach buyers in the USA, it would probably be more effective to keep listing on eBay.com, in US$, because listings from eBay Switzerland will get less visibility on eBay USA because of the language difference. However, its your choice.

Where is the buyer located? Are they using a US address? Since you are listing on the US site, shipping to the US is always considered domestic shipping and international shipping is to everywhere else. If you are shipping the item to the US, $20 is what was advertised in the listing.

eBay.com is the US site, so when you list on eBay.com, "domestic" shipping means shipping to the US. If you want "domestic" to mean shipping to Switzerland, then you must list on the Swiss site: https://www.ebay.ch

If the buyer's delivery address is not in the USA, then you should call eBay and talk with them. If they made a mistake, then I am sure they will help you out. You can get to their phone number by following the "contact us" cues at the bottom of the help pages.

It wasn't ebay's fault, it was YOUR fault for listing on the US site not the Switzerland site.
You are the one who selected domestic shipping at $20. Now if you had listed it on the Switzerland site, shipping to US would be international.
And you've got the same problem on the other listings you have. $9 is not going to be enough to ship the diecast, let alone any of the other products you've got.
YOU messed this one up, own it.

thanks a lot for this help !
Oddly, I always use this site before and it clearly states, domestic and intl. shipping, so the last two times I sold an item, it correctly charged me for the international shipping. Now for the first time, it charged me for the domestic version. Odd, but thanks, this clears things up.

thanks very much ! Still strangely the last two times it charged the correct shipping method. Because I order 90% of the orders from US, the US ebay set is basically memorized by my computer when logging on. Amazing how un-universal things are these days, but this clears up a lot, thanks !

yeah thanks a lot !
No need to go all harsh tho, an honest mistake here, especially, since I sold on this site twice before and twice before it used the correct shipping price.
Cheers

ok yeah, this is messed up.
I delisted everything, went into to the Swiss Ebay, logged in, everything is on the swiss site, the second I go to list the item again, it kicks me back to the USA Ebay site and there we go, same mess. Not my mistake after all. Going to give a bot a go now via chat. No wonder ALL people and traders I know around here do not sell via Ebay. Must work out amazing in the US/Canada and EU countries tho, but if you're not part of any, only a mess-show.

This is what I'm seeing for that listing:
shipping to the US
This is what the relisted item shows:
corrected shipping price to the US
This was your mistake and you should have shipped to the buyer at the original $20 charge. You're lucky if you got an understanding buyer.

Okay, this is odd.
I put in to ship to Switzerland and in the current (relisted) listing, it's showing the same $65 shipping charge from Switzerland to Switzerland.

something is going on here indeed.
I go into the Swiss Ebay like recommended above, it immediately kicks me back to the USA Ebay site as soon as I go to re-list my item ! What the heck?
Also, it clearly states the item location and it asks me for two shipping methods (domestic and international), and in both areas there is a sub-category that says "overseas, out-side US" or similar etc.
The last two items I sold it applied the correct shipping cost, like I also mentioned before.
Now it happened for the first time.
But then again, in the above picture it clearly states (which would have been now identical since it kicks me back to the US Ebay website when I re-list it, which I did), it clearly states, item location NOT in US, and Expedited International shipping, so the regular person with a normal life-span like me (or soon a shorter one as this is starting to damage my calm), clearly sees the above summary (picture) that I have done nothing wrong.
Incredible. I really appreciate all your help tho !!!

It sounds like you are using "relist" or "sell similar" from your original listings. Unfortunately, you can't change the eBay website when you do that. It automatically creates a new listing on the same eBay website (ebay.com, or eBay USA) where the first listing was created.
If you want to list items on eBay Switzerland, you will need to start a new listing there from scratch. You can copy and paste the description, and then upload the pictures again. Listings on eBay Switzerland will be in the local currency used there (or euros, if that is used in Switzerland).
I looked at one of your items (a star wars model) that was sold January 17, and it had the same shipping cost ($70) for every country I checked, including USA, Switzerland and Sweden. So that would be why you received the correct amount for shipping that one, wherever it went. Might have been too much if it was purchased in your own country, or elsewhere in Europe though.

That listing might be stuck on eBay.com terms because that's where you listed it the first time.
Try this, start afresh: Log out of both the US and Sw sites, then clear cache/cookies. Then log into the SW site, create a brand-new listing using the images, copy-and-paste description, etc. from the original US listing.

thanks, so the whole listing needs to be deleted and re-done from scratch it appears.
It is still odd as heck why it clearly says where the item is located, how much the international shipping costs, and so on. I am talking with an agent as we speak, should have clarity soon.
In the meantime I still want to thank you all for contributing here !
