Ebay has confirmed that Shipping calc. is GROSSLY OVERCHARGING customerd for shipping

I noticed yesterday (after numerous emails and phone calls from upset customers) that my Calculated shipping chargers have DOUBLED.  For example, shipping a 75 pound box to Zip 90210 cost $93 last week, today ebay says that same item cost $198.60 to ship.

Needless to say, my sales of that item have STOPPED.   In fact all of my sales have dropped 50% in the last week. and I feel sorry for those few that have purchased, as I have unknowingly WAY over changed them for the shipping.

This increases my profit significantly, but it is killing my sales...

Ebay rep says they are aware of the problem, but noit sure when it will be fixed....

It was ignored.

There a lot of posts in these "discussions" where Ebay has been contacted, we all waited a LONG time, Ebay SAW the "problem", said "Oh, a ticket will be started", and NOTHING has happened. (Other than the "toggling" seems to have stopped). 

Then yesterday 2/1/17 on the "Chat", "There is no known problem with shipping". DONE. They will be doing nothing. 

As stated earlier at least Ebay is a smaller percentage (# of boxes, and $$) of what WE ship every day. Add the upcoming UPC thing (where I am sure they are going to be happy to offer UPC's for everything for only a "few $$), and Ebay is looking less and less worth it.

I know after shipping a slightly oversized pkg. the other day that the USPS site shipping cost calculator  is way off.  What it was showing  would cost 45 bucks to ship that pkg.  priority actually only came to about  $ 17.

 Also...the  price it was showing to  ship same pkg. retail ground  ( since 45 bucks was way too steep )  was not even right at the USPS site.

I stopped using ebay shipping a while ago. I use Stamps.com! LOVE it and Im saving a bunch! Sold a paperback last night eBay ship=$2.63 Stamps.com $1.14 HELLO!!! Look into it fellow sellers and eBay will have no choice but to fix their calculator right quick!

When the SELLER has free shipping then the SELLER can pick how to ship.

When selling items that hare heavier / larger, and the shipping varies a LOT by WHERE it is going, we can NOT do free shipping. We are forced to deal with this screwed up Ebay calculator.

As I posted on another (same thing) topic in Technical:

Starting with "No known problems with shipping"(straight from Ebay person)  here is one to do / try.

(I have now done it for a few of our items -- waiting to see if it will "hold" when someone buys)

Same 25lbs, 12x13x10, cross country, Ebay shows the screwed up ~$70 UPS shipping.

Change price by $1, ADD one pound to weight, add ONE exclamation point to the descrisption (all to make it "different" for Ebay) VIOLA shipping UPS cross country is now ~$39 !!!!

(Was actually TOO low - had to add $8 to get it to $39).

SO000000 - no known problem with shipping?

I am also DONE calling about this.

as of 5/2/17, Ebay still has this "ticket" open.  Shipping cost on listing will be different from cost during checkout.  For example, ebay calculator will show $58 shipping, but at checkout, buyer is charged $83.15 shipping.  Buyer either does not go through with sale, or leave bad feedback, wants refund, etc.

Again, this happens several times PER DAY with my listings.  I have to call and get bad feedback removed (it is a "known issue" so they will remove the feedback) but **bleep**, how bad is it hurting may sales?  I will never know the number of sales that were never completed....

I have the same Problem and when I call i get somebody in the Philippines that hasn't a clue. You can't talk to anybody in the US.  I have had three phone calls about my problem. with no response from E -Bay.

But they were quick to cut our top sellers rating discount in half.  There customer service SUCKS.
