I've seen other threads about this issue over the past week, but wanted to put in my ten cents as well. I've had at least 20+ packages go out by way of Ebay Standard Envelope service since the 27th and not one of them has had a tracking update since. Typically, the tracking updates at the shipping center in our area the night I drop packages at the post office. But since the 27th, nothing. Even the packages already in transit have not had any updates. I've had customers receiving their packages, so I know the items are in transit and moving, but no changes/updates in tracking for the past week. I was wondering if anyone had contacted ebay customer service yet or heard anything about when this issue will be fixed? It's killing my seller rating for having items scanned in on time. And yes, I know all about the reasons why a package might not be scanned in a timely manner. Believe me, I've been dealing with the USPS for a long time. It's not about that. It's about an issue that's affecting more than just me if you search "ebay standard shipping" on the ebay community board. Any relevant info would be appreciated. Thank you.

The eBay Standard Envelope is not acceptance scanned like other packages. It is done by machines and if your facility does not have a sorting machine, then it will not show as in the system until it gets to a facility that has such a machine. This can result in several days of not knowing where the item is.
It is an inexpensive service, but with that comes lesser service.
