Ebay Standard Envelope Should be Available for ALL Paper Items

I think the Ebay Standard envelope has been great.  I, fortunately, have had no issues with using it to send postcards.  However, most of my business is Victorian Trade Cards and I want to know when Ebay is going to allow this category to use Standard Envelope Shipping.  The majority of my cards are sold for under $20 and it would be HUGE for me to be able to send them with tracking and for a lower price.  SO WHEN, EBAY, are you going to expand this available service to anything paper and not just "trading cards" and postcards?

Not sure this is an eBay decision, does your postal service not determine what can be sent and how? Maybe different here, but in AU we have to adhere to the A.Post rules for what is and isn't allowed using their various services.

Thanks for your reply but I believe this is an ebay decision.  They worked a deal with the post office and I believe it is ebay's call to allow it for whatever categories would benefit.  I wish everyone who deals in Victorian Trade Cards in the US would speak up and put pressure on ebay to allow this category to benefit from ebay standard envelope also.  It would be a game changer for my business and great for the buyers too (i.e. low shipping cost with tracking).

I agree with you pinecondo.  Not all Victorian Trade cards sell for high dollar and it would be great to be able to ship the lower cost ones in a standard envelope.  They are the same size as sports cards in most cases so I don't understand why we can't ship these, when it is allowed for postcards.

I agree!!! I’ve just started selling ephemera items. Some are a simple vintage invoice or receipt and I hate charging the first class rate of nearly $5 to ship one sheet of paper! And if I do send it in a regular envelope and slap a regular stamp on it, then there’s no tracking!

eBay…PLEASE expand the categories that can use the eBay Standard Envelope shipping option!!!

How do we voice a request such as this to the powers that be??

Agree.  Please expand the use of the eBay standard envelope to include Victorian Ad Cards.  I have a box full of Victorian Ad Cards I would list if the eBay Standard Envelope was available as a shipping item.

Perhaps E-bay and USPS could both get together and get the tracking issues with the envelope straightened out also. With all the complaints on this issue it is clear that the two are not communicating.
