Ebay said automatic returns was suppose to help sellers who are busy. But instead it's making the situation worst sellers have no time to help buyers. Buyers don't ask for help anymore or even send you a message they just go straight to the return and may say the item is defective or don't work and many times I have had to quickly rush to the return to assist them before they ship the item back. I have had even customers closed returns said the made a mistake or just never sent it back after I quickly reached out and help them.
There is no option to negotiate with the buyer anymore once they click return and choose what they want as reason for return. A buyer and I decided after he open a return for a partial refund and there was no option there to do it
70 percent of the buyers don't talk to the sellers at all before opening a return. Some say put a note in package telling them to reach out to you before returns. They don't even read it they just toss it it seems. Ebay needs to make automatic return more flexible so sellers and buyers can fix there issue before returns because ebay also loose out on revenue on all these returns

You've only sold a few items, how many returns could you have?

If you enable RMA (Return Material Authorization) eBay will still automatically accept the return, but that throws a wrench into the streamlined flow, and clogs it up for 2 days, for you to help your buyer understand how damaging returns are to your egg.
