Ebay Managed Payments and Shipping

I should have asked this sooner, but how does this tie together?

Will I now just transfer money to my paypal account to cover shipping or
is there a way to have it drafted out to pay for shipping from bank account
I set up.

From what I see so far I guess I just transfer some money to my paypal account
to cover shipping as it drafted from there when I print my shipping labels.

Thanks in advance.

If you are buying your labels through eBay (not a third party):

Bring up a sale ready to ship and click "print shipping label". Then BEFORE you actually buy the label scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you will find a block asking how you want to pay for the label. You will have a choice of "Paypal" or "pending balance". Click on "Pending balance" and they will take it out of managed payments - even if your sale amount hasn't cleared. It will simply show as a negative balance until your sale clears. Once you click it then it becomes the default and you will not have to do it again.

I don't use eBay shipping, so I am not sure exactly how you go about this, but evidently you can buy shipping using your Managed payments to pay for them.

You can use your pending balance in MP to cover the postage as was explained below

Why don't you use a third party label provider to keep the label expenses separate from MP or avoiding a need to transfer money to PP if you prefer them to print the labels?

I use pirateship.com They import you orders from ebay and post back the tracking numbers. You can also purchase insurance for both domestic and int'l orders (read the exclusions). You can ask them to sign you up for their simple international rate and you get 25-30% cheaper prices than ebay on lighter parcels (up to 4 lbs). Their customer service is outstanding, email replies within 24 hours and a real chat. You can easily reprint your labels if needed and when you are finished you can generate the SCAN form (and easily reprint it too, if needed). You can use you CC to pay for the labels, earning extra % on your CC purchases.
