Are returns for items missing parts insured?

I opened a return request, I think I selected it had missing parts. If I use the prepaid shipping label Ebay sends will the package be insured? Or will I have to send it insured with my own label and therefore pay the return shipping and insurance?

I want to return an expensive item but no insurance is provided.

I want to return a $3,000 item and eBay generated a return label for me, 1st class no insurance. Number one, it is too heavy to go 1st class and I am concerned that there is no insurance. Who is at risk if this thing gets lost or stolen???
