ESUS tracking not updating

We've had multiple issues with orders the last 3 weeks with ESUS shipping.  

They are not updating locally on the Ebay site but you can see the updates on trackmyshipment.

 

I've had 2 buyers open cases the last week while they were still in transit, now they both show delivered in trackmyshipment but the tracking on Ebay shows no updates.   They don't even show that I shipped them.

 

I'm going to end up losing the cases because the buyers aren't responding and Ebay isn't either.

If you haven't already, add the tracking number to the INR claims @ohoul_clearance_items.

 

Go to eBay for Business on Facebook, send a DM with your name, seller ID, e-mail and zip code. Give them the item number or case number and provide the tracking number with this link. Let them know the tracking update isn't showing on eBay but it is viewable with online tracking and due to that glitch you wanted to make sure the cases will be closed in your favor.x

Does anyone know what to do about this ESU shipping? I have had things sent to me using this shipping method it says that it is delivered and it has not been. Is this UPS, fedex, United States parcel service, does anyone know? This is getting very frustrating and eBay isn't helping at all

What date did it say "Delivered", today?  If it says delivered today then you probably will get it tomorrow or next day in the mail.

eBay Standard Envelope (ESE) is a metered mail shipment so it does not receive traditional tracking scans like a package would, and the clerk at the PO counter cannot scan it or track it. The envelope is scanned by sorting machinery at distribution centers along the way.

With ESE, a 'delivered' scan generally occurs at the last USPS sort facility before it gets to the buyer, so typically the buyer will receive their order a few days after the delivered scan.

 

If you just saw a delivery scan today @simonproducts  then I suggest giving a couple more days for the envelope to turn up.

 

You can sign up for USPS Informed Delivery. You get an email every morning with images of letter mail you'll be receiving that day (ESE should be pictured with the letter mail), and the email will also show a list of package tracking numbers arriving that day.

When an item is pictured on your informed delivery email, but that item isn't delivered, you can log in to your account at usps.com and report that you didn't receive it. That alerts the PO and they will alert your carrier that a mail piece was missing from your delivery.

Thank you for getting back to me. I am somewhat perplexed why sellers wouldn't just use first class mail the weight of most sports cards don't even get close to the given weight allowed. This would save so much more hassle and negative feedback for the seller and if it cost a few extra pennies then pass that on to the buyer. I've went on to the internet and a lot of people think it's a scam this ESU shipping and it really is hurting the seller. I'm definitely not the first person to have these issues and I think eBay needs to get with the post office and work this stuff out. Again thank you for getting back to me it does clear some things up

I have a 3 packages all sent using this and 2 of them show progress. One of them shows nothing and it’s been about 3 days since I dropped off at post office

As a seller this is the most frustrating part. I always worry that my packages are lost in the abyss when the ESUS does not update. I ship all my items the exact same way every time and every item is updated differently. eBay will show shipped and when you click the tracking link for trackmyshipment it shows absolutely nothing. I have spoken to the post office numerous times and it’s the same answer every time, “we don’t provide tracking and can’t tell you where your package is.” The barcodes are machine scanned and if the label is damaged at the first distribution site, you’re out of luck and are praying at that point that everything goes smoothly. Every time I call when I see an item hasn’t been updated I’m always told that eBay packages are taking 30-45 days to be delivered when tracking scans are not available. As a seller I absolutely hate this for my buyers. When I purchase items I’m always curious and check the tracking just to see if other sellers experience the same thing; they do. So as a buyer I’m frustrated for the lack of updates and as a seller I’m even more frustrated and concerned for my customers. I just have to be patient and hope that everything goes smooth at the beginning. I know USPS ground shipping is an option for sellers but not everyone is willing to pay $3-8 for a small item just to have peace of mind. I just wish there was a better way. Best of luck to you!

As a seller of trading cards, you may find below info useful @mauddib772000-1 and @johnsox_cards

Common reasons ESE envelopes don't get scans include:
- Overpacking. Envelopes are too stiff. It's not recommended to use trading card top loaders or cardboard mailers.
- Using ineligible packing material such as a bubble envelope.
- Placement of label. Label should be placed in the upper right corner with approx 1/8"-1/4" clearance from edges. If it's placed too far from the corner the machinery won't scan it.
- Placing items in the center of the envelope instead of off to the side. The center of the envelope needs to be the most flexible part.
- Printer ink is not dark enough, or label color is too bright (stick to white labels if you can).
- Regional issues with sorting machines, volume processing, etc.

With ESE, a 'delivered' scan generally occurs at the last sort facility before it gets to the buyer, so typically the buyer will receive their order a few days after the delivered scan.
