ESE 5” x 7” Paperboard Mailjacket Envelope (No padding) Denied at USPS

After a full year of using the 5” x 7” Paperboard Mailjacket Envelope (No padding) sold by ebay shipping supplies using ESE postage, our post office is now refusing them due to them claiming they are not machinable. Trading cards being mailed in a regular envelope is not safe enough. Now we are basically forced to use a traditional envelope or raise the price of shipping. Does anyone have any insight on what we should do, maybe speak with the post master in our area?

The minimum is 3.5 'X 5". the maximum is 11". I purchased quite a few of the ESG 5X7 's specifically for larger cards. I haven't had any issues yet. I will be very unhappy if they start returning them. As usual some post offices don't have a clue. Talk to your Post Master, not the people at the counter.

Btw, using this method keeps individual orders under 1 ounce: for sports cards, postcards and postal covers.

Btw, top loaders get kicked off the automated rollers every time; resulting in a non-scan with possible postage due.

@cardxcraft   I've been using top loaders since the start of the envelope program and have never had one kicked off or non scanned. You say every time yours get kicked kicked off and non scanned every time ? Interesting.

Now that I see the picture of your envelope, that plus a top loader IS probably too thick. I use a standard every day envelope with top loader inside without problems.
