EBAY ROBBED ME

seller sent wrong item and they are now closed due to covid. ebay told me to return item, their label page link broken. so I shipped back to seller via usps (no tracking number, but have receipt from my stamp program and image of envelope being sent. They closed my claim bec. I didn't have tracking number AFTER explaining this over 30 times to cust svs, various chat functions of theirs, etc. EBAY SUCKS.

ebay favors buyers above all else and it's pretty hard to get ripped off here as a buyer with the MBG backing you up. You need to provide tracking confirming delivery to get a refund on a return. If the eBay label wasn't working you could have reached out to customer service for options before buying your own label without tracking.

I'm sorry to hear of your issue, that's a shame that you lost your return case. The reality is that eBay is very buyer friendly and always finds in their favor, hence the MBG they offer to everyone. We all need to follow procedures and unfortunately you didn't. Had you proceeded the terms on the return case you would have received your full refund. Moving forward in case you do decide to make another purchase, just follow the rules and things will work out in your behalf. Best of luck to you....

You didn't buy anything from ebay and ebay didn't rip you off.

You shipped an item without tracking to save a buck and did yourself in.

i why everytime i call i get india, someone that doesn't understand me and i cannot understand? 

2nd  how come ebay will not work with you on feedback removal, or go in and remove it themselves, in certain circumstances, they used to use arbitrators, that was a thing of the past, i recently had a neutral that was unfair, the buyer made a claim in the feedback but never reached out to me about it or give me an attempt to make it right, nor did they prove  their comment,  so to me, if i want to completely make something up, ebay wont even investigate, like if i said i got this monitor screen and it was cracked when i got it, there is no proof that i am not making that up to get something for free, i can leave negative and it wont be removed,  RIDICULOUS, i would love to elaborate on things further if your able to speak live like on the phone, honestly it's way too much to type,  lastly do you work for ebay or did i just waste my time?

i kind of agree and i kind of dont,,, to allblissco-0 point,  if he/she sent ebay a picture of the reciept from the post office because they prefer to buy postage outside of ebay (which i cant blame them, not everyone has a scale and if we dont get enough postage on the item it could be returned to us or etc)  but anyway, if he paid for the postage at the post office and had the tracking # on the reciept and sent that reciept to ebay, it shows on postal reciepts the amount you paid and the zipcode,address it went to, or tracking info, that should be sufficient.

if you don't buy your postage and print the label through ebay, thats not a bad thing, not necessarily always to save a buck, in fact going through ebay you save money from what you would pay at post office, BUT some people like myself don't have a postage scale, so if i get the weight of the item off, and i print my postage here, and drop it in a blue post office box so i don't have to go in due to covid, etc.  it could come back to me for not enough postage, postage due, thus causing a delay, or return, etc.  so some people choose to go into the post office and let the clerk weigh it, put in zipcode and tell you what method of shipment (priority, express etc) that you qualify for based on your packaging vs theirs, or the size and weight, so slow your roll before you attack them,  in this case ebay did rip them off because if he provided a reciept showing he paid postage, it had a date and time on it, and that is proof it was in their possession it even shows the zipcode the item was sent to.

You seem to be blaming eBay for your not following the requirements of the MBG.  Frankly, if you failed to find out those requirements I believe that you have brought the problem upon yourself.  In the future, I suggest that you review the information regarding the MBG before attempting any purchases on the site.
