Don't forget - Monday is Labor Day - post office is closed.

Anything sold Friday doesn't need to ship until Tuesday. Although personally, I make it a point to get it out Saturday just so the buyer gets it as quick as possible. And avoids the "why did it take so long: complaint.

"Laissez-faire capitalism (AKA The Great Material Continuum) is the only social system based on the recognition of individual rights and, therefore, the only system that bans force from social relationships." ~ Ayn Rand

Thanks for the reminder. 👍 Labor Day snuck up on me this year. I didn't realize it was coming up until a couple days ago. For some reason I was thinking we had another week to go, but here we are with August pretty much over.

Another reminder: 1 month left in Q3.

Basic and above store subscribers: clock is ticking down to use your quarterly shipping supplies coupon.

Oh, heck, yeah.

The last collection at our local PO is 5:45 p.m. on Saturdays (from the outer lobby drop box), so when they're going to be closed on Monday, I make every effort to get my packages shipped before that deadline, so that they'll actually be travelling behind the scenes over the long weekend.

For anyone purchasing after that deadline, especially on Sunday, I'll get their package scanned at the Self-Serve Kiosk and dropped in the lobby drop chute anyway. I will also send them a note to let them know that due to the holiday, tracking is probably not going to show any further movement before Tuesday, but that their package is already in USPS hands.

They have more holidays than the Romans did.

Who is "they" - USPS?

The feds recognize 11 holidays and USPS is a government agency.

For kicks, here's info on ancient Roman holidays (festivals):

There were 5 main holidays/festivals, but by AD 165, the number of festival days, imperial birthdays and other labor-optional days reached 135.

Sellers I think are more concerned about daily payouts when Monday is a holiday.

If you don't have 'express payouts' don't expect any funds deposited until Tuesday if you are even lucky.

USPS post offices and banks are closed.

Only Priority Mail Express is available.

UPS pickup and delivery services will not be available...UPS Stores might be closed also.

FedEx pickup and delivery services will not be available.

Sounds like a 'fun day' but not on a 'Sun day'.

It's kind of like having two Sundays in a row. 😁
