I sold an item to a Canadian buyer. Once it reaches the Global Shipping place in Erlanger kentucky, do they open the package so they can list contents on customs forms, or do they just attach an address label without opening?
Have the shipping delays been severe for sales outside the country?

They inspect/open every item. Then ship off to Pitney Bowes in Canada, they pick a carrier then label it and ships it again. And yes shipping is the worst I have every seen it. An item I have been waiting for that usually takes 5-7 days has been 3 weeks now. Even Amazon is way behind.

Yes they repackage often in padded envelopes. They also have been known to mix up items with others during that process. Right now all shipping has almost ground to a stop with the high volume of parcels shipped. It's like that with all the shipping services.

Yes they do and sometimes they dont pack it back nicely....ie damage happens and buyer gets it and thinks seller didn't pack well
