According to the linked article, "A report posted on Baidu claims that the package contained a type of firecracker that ignites on impact."  

IMHO better labeling might have been a good idea; in the video, there's no writing at all on the 3 visible sides of the box. (Or maybe it was redacted?) Imagine what kind of hazmat notices would have been required by US carriers!
