Do I Get Total Amount Paid When Getting Refund

I was wanting to request a refund and the seller has not yet shipped it. I was wanting to know that if I ask for my return will I be returned the total amount paid (item price+shipping)? I paid $48.99 for the item and $9.99 for shipping.

Yes if you request a cancellation prior to the seller shipping you should receive a full refund. Sellers can no longer charge re-stocking fees. I would request the refund soon however, depending upon the sellers handling time. Top rated sellers ship same day or 1 business day. Once shipped you'd lose original shipping plus have to pay to return ship for buyer's remorse.

That ebay policy does make sense and does appear to be fair.

Remember however PayPal does charge your seller .30 to receive & .30 to refund payment.  

Your seller is also being inconvenienced by your cancellation.

Cancellations should very rarely happen.

Paypal charges ONE 30 cent fee when a payment is processed.  When you fully refund that transaction PP will refund the fees they they charged you less the 30 cent processing fee.  You pay one 30 cent fee that is not refundable to the seller.  There are NOT two 30 cent fees.
