I printed a label for four ounces Ground Advantage from California to Georgia and I was charged $4.36 by Stamps.com. I think this is the same charge I previously had. I heard the rates were going up today. Does anyone know if this is the correct amount that should be charged?

I thought it was going to be July 1st but i have read already on the boards that some have been seeing the up charge already. YMMV

The label I printed from Stamps.com has a July 1st date and I was charged $4.36, which I believe is the same rate I was charged the past week and before. This is a four ounce shipment from California to Georgia by Ground Advantage. Does anyone out there use Stamps.com and do you know if they changed the rates on your Stamps.com software?

I re read another thread that llama_lady posted she saw some changes. So maybe she can respond with more clarity.
llama_lady could you confirm what postage you saw increased today?

Stamps.com is closed today however I was able to chat with someone at Pirate shipping and their software also said the shipping rate was $4.36 from California to Georgia, four ounces Ground Advantage. And they confirmed if I bought and printed the label now and shipped it out tomorrow I will get that same rate. Should I assume that this Stamps.com label I printed will also work that way? I just want to make sure I'm paying for the correct postage and there won't be any problems when I try to ship out all my packages tomorrow.

I don't blame you.

Yes! My ground advantage went up to 7.46 from something that would have cost under 6 dollars... This is going to hurt me all the way around.

In short @mozartbach1971 : yes.
Some Ground Adv and Priority rates increased today (see link in my sig below). Because services like stamps.com and eBay do not offer Sunday ship dates on labels, your label defaulted to the Monday date and Monday rate.
eBay's shipping calculator updates on the day of the increase, but the label purchase page generally updates the day before because of the shipping date on the label.

So does this mean there is going to be a problem with shipping the packages since I already printed the labels? I apparently was charged the old rates and not the new rates on the labels I printed last night.

No. I did that in the past when I knew rates were going to increase on a certain day, I would get all my labels purchased the night before to save some pennies. Never had an issue.

If USPS thinks there's an issue, they'll just charge it to your account through the APV system; they won't refuse the package or deliver it with Postage Due.
