Despite using correct weight and dimensions for calculated shipping when I went to buy the label

I wound up owing 5.00 more than buyer paid for shipping.

In fact, the item was under the listed weight by 7oz and everything else was the same.  It was 10lb 9oz for the actual purchase price because I toss in estimations for my packing materials. (The first screen shot shows the weight and dimensions used in the listing)

This is media mail.

Why did this happen?IMG_5667.jpegIMG_5668.jpeg

Looks like you set up the listing with $7.50 flat rate shipping instead of using calculated shipping.

Also - if the buyer lives nearby, it will cost less (and be an upgrade) to ship Ground Advantage. So check that rate before buying the label.

Well,I didn’t use a flat rate.  I used calculated.    I will note for future purchases if it’s cheaper to use GA.

Thanks for your response

11 pounds of books sent MM is the same cost for any Zip.

The $12.13 that you were charged.

Any zip code entered for that book listing shows the buyer a charge of $7.50

There is no calculated MM rate of $7.50

I think you misunderstood what @wastingtime101 said.....

When you created the listing, you chose "Flat Rate Shipping" option and entered $7.50. That rate will then be charged to the buyer regardless of where they are located.

There is no "calculated media mail" that equals 7.50, but 11 lbs would equal 12.13
