Delivery not recieved but royal mail says they have delivered

Delivery not received but royal mail says they have delivered the item  , it had a tracking number and it says its been delivered but theres always been someone in the house and nobody has taken it out the mail box

its not a dear item but its the principal of the matter as i havent received anything , what should i do now

You have to contact royal mail about that.

Such is a common scam to show an item as delivered when it is not.
