Has any other sellers experienced the same issues as I have with having delayed mail through our current pandemic. I have had more than 3 customers wondering where their packages are even to the certain extent of having a lawyer call me to discuss why their package has not delivered even though it was USPS Priority Mail. The one in my attached picture screenshot is going to New York.

I've only had one customer contact me, and it was delayed 1-day. I'm sure as COVID-19 continues to spread, there will be more delays, however.
Just be kind to the guy in New York. It is stressful right now.

Mine have traveled all week long through USPS with lightning speed. My First Class Packages all got 2-day service and a Priority (3-day) even arrived all the way across the country in 2 days.
Sorry you haven't fared so well. And don't worry the threat of the buyer's lawyer. Chances are, he's not seeing clients during the pandemic.

Thank you for the response. I had ended up explaining that I unfortunately had no control over the USPS and that I also had packages that were set to deliver today from FedEx but was stated:
"Local delivery restriction - Delivery not attempted
Recommended action : No action required. Delivery will be re-scheduled when conditions improve."

The lawyer thing is just an idle threat. Not even one of those TV lawyers would take up a late delivery of mail case. All delivery times are ESTIMATES.
Did you note they wrote LAWYERS not LAWYER

your buyer is in vilolation of ebays rules, any message box within ebay has rules of no F words,if its not fit for an item description is does NOT belong in ebays message system.
this buyer has a gutter mouth, actually worse than that,he had to think about what he said before he typed it up

You may have avoided the rant from the buyer, by uploading a tracking number to the listing so they would know that the item was shipped on time, but held up in the USPS system. So far none of my incoming or outgoing packages have been taking any longer to be received/delivered.
As for the buyer contacting their lawyer, unless they have a firm on retainer, I hope the seller likes the bill they will receive for the phone call. Once this is over, put them on your BBL.

It's an empty threat in normal times, now it's just ridiculous. Courts in my area (Ohio) are shut down with the exception of some cases such as domestic problems and restraining orders that need resolved with people shut in their homes.
I am a USPS carrier and we are still working. We have lost some staff. Some have been removed due to high risk (one of our 2 subs is pregnant and she is not allowed to work). If we get sick of course we are not going to be allowed to deliver mail at this time because without testing there is no way to know if its a common cold or this virus.
But on the whole mail is not being delayed though if it spreads more this may become an issue.
I probably would message back something like:
I am sorry that the package isn't there yet but tracking shows ________________, so it is still on it's way. Know that I will be watching and if by the slim chance that you do not receive it of course I will refund but with the pandemic running through the nation some delay isn't unconceivable and maybe the norm for the next few weeks.
