Delay of shipping

Very often buyer ask to delay of shipping of particular item

He make the payment but wish postpone the shipping.

Not a problem for the seller but most probably effect the Late shipment rate

What could be your advise?

In my experience this isn't a very common thing. Like less than 5% of all my orders if not less than 1%. I just call eBay once a defect shows up and they can typically remove them for you.

Another option is to let the buyer know that you must ship on time in order to NOT get a defect on your account.  Therefore, ask the buyer to file a VACATION HOLD with his/her post office and they will hold the package and the buyer can pick it up at a later date.
