Delay at the Global Shipping Center (Litchfield)

Good morning,

I searched for this topic and found a few others. However, most of them were being shipped electronics or things requiring batteries. Mine's a book. What other reasons might it be delayed?

I'm a bit concerned because it's a rather valuable and rare book, so I hope it's something simple like a packaging issue. If anyone has any experience with this, I'd be grateful to hear from you.

Thanks,

Kate

Hi @onceagaintozelda . I assume you are the buyer and you purchased an item going through the Global Shipping Programme (GSP) in the UK. Is that correct?

They could be backed up due to volume, or there could be something they need to work out with the customs paperwork, could have been a problem with the readability of the label, or could be an item that needs to be repacked.

Bottom line: You should have coverage with eBay's Money Back Guarantee. If the item does not show movement and has not arrived by the estimated delivery date you can file a non-receipt claim.

Delays are common, so give it more time and see what happens. Just keep an eye on the estimated delivery date because you'll have a 30 day window to file a claim if needed.

Hi! Did you get your book?

I've ordered a pendant swiss watch (prob. from 1960's) and I got the same issue with the "delay". I'm curious what was your story ending?
