So a little back story, a buyer bought a few tablets from me, he gets them and opens a not as described, his reason is the older tablet can't run everything he wanted, it was listed properly as a 2nd gen ipad but because he can't do everything he wants he wants a refund. I have absolutly no interest in this what so ever and seeing as ebay is now forcing me to link them my bank account instead of going through paypal so they get carte blanche to make withdrawls without my consent or agreement I already canceled my active listings and am also closing my paypal account. Now what does ebay have to actually force me to play along, as far as I'm aware they have zero ability to force me to play along, this money back guarantee is absolute bull**bleep** as it is because buyers can and will lie and cheat no matter what, ive noticed that already, so what can ebay realistically do considering ive already decided to take my business elsewhere?

Good by and good luck.
Ebay does go after their money, just saying.

They'll get the funds to cover the refund.

from where excatly, they don't have authorization to touch my bank account, and I'm fully prepared to fight it out with paypal, I've had good luck with them when the buyer is obvious in the wrong. I can't see how ebay hopes to get my money, please explain how they'd be able to touch it. As I see it they'd be refunding the buyer from their own pocket while i keep the money i was rightly paid for said item, and the loss to me seems to be ebay. I've already talked to their CS they said they can't do anything its a not as discribed and the buyer doesn't have to provide any proof of any kind, and I'm not playing that game.

EBay is the most authoritative source to answer your question.
Feel free to inquire with them.

Not in Texas they can't, consumer debt isn't something allowable for garnishment in Texas, the most they could do is harass me for the next 4 years to try to collect, and i already ignore phone calls i don't know.

Certainly don't know all the details of your situation, but it sounds like you might be overreacting.
But that's just me.

No this keeps happening, i sell older electronics, and I get at least once every few months someone wanting to return something, i get it back and its exactly how it was described and it works fine. I'm tired of being out shipping constantly because of ignorance and I'm tired of ebay siding with the buyers constantly its nonsense. Before this it was an i7 3770s that the buyer stated didn't work, looked at his feedback and he has feedback on a 3770k a few days after he bought mine, so he opened a does not work case, i accepted put it into a computer and its rock solid stable, I'm just tired of loosing money because they think the buyers are honest people when experience has shown otherwise.

Is your bank account or credit card attached to your Pay Pal account?
If so, Pay Pal will get the funds from there.

No they can't, currently the paypal account is negative due to ebays request to reclaim the funds but paypal hasn't even attempted to seize the funds, and any attempt to do so would have me call the bank and refute the charges as unathorized as paypal doesnt have explicate premission to withdrawal funds. I find this entire system to be broken, thats my issue this entire system is broken, ebay **bleep**s us all over for their own gain.

Sometimes you have to just thank your lucky stars that you didn't do business with certain sellers.

Accept the return.
There is a chance the buyer won’t even return it.
Don’t ruin your credit over one transaction.
Think like a business.

As everyone here states, you can run but you can't hide. This is eBay's sandbox. You have to play by eBay's rules. The sooner you accept that the easier your life and business will be. It took me a few years, but I finally succumbed. My business has since prospered and I am less frustrated with over 20 years of being here. If you don't accept the playing field, which is your right, then you should think again about doing your business here. I wish you the best!

If you get one every few months, you should be putting the return costs into your pricing - looking at likelihood of returns, adding a small amount to each sale price to self insure.
