So I just sold something that apparently is going to an army base, and when I went to print a shipping label...I was told I had to fill out a customs form.
I have never had to do this before so I am a little worried that I might screw it up.
Do I have to fill out every bit of information like "Category of item", " AES/ITN/Exemptions", "detailed description of contents"?
Am I supposed to print out the label so that it is vertical on the paper (and bigger) instead of horizontal?
Am I supposed to sign it and date?

If you are printing the shipping label through eBay it automatically fills out the custom form for you.
When you click to buy and print you will get a view of the custom form. You only need to check the box in the lower left indicating that the info is correct and then print. There is nothing else to do. If a line is blank, leave it blank. Ignore the Category, exemptions, etc.
Then yes once you print it out you must sign and date it.
If you have sent any international packages, the label you get is in that format.
