Covering Return Shipping Question

Hello all,

I sold an item earlier this month with buyer paying shipping and option of 30-day returns, buyer paying shipping. Earlier this week the buyer filed a return for missing parts or pieces claiming the item was missing parts and would like me to cover the return shipping. The missing part in question is a part that was not advertised as included in the listing either through the description or images. Going back through the listing I see nowhere that states it is included and a good portion of the time the item that is "missing" is sold independent of the item that I sold here. It seems here the buyer is having remorse for assuming it would be included and now does not want to cover return postage.

I'm fine with accepting the return although I don't believe I should cover the cost of return shipping under these circumstances. Right now my options are to accept the return with me paying shipping or the usual full refund/partial refund. Is there much I can do in this case?

Thanks in advance

Whether the buyer is telling the truth or not, those are your only two options.

The missing part in question is a part that was not advertised as included in the listing either through the description or images.

Just for reference, if the item normally comes with a part, then the buyer would have every reason to expect the purchase to include that part, unless your description specifically noted that it was missing.
