Hey guys,
Looking for some help here. I have a listing that I set as $5 flat-rate shipping. I also added the Global Shipping Program option. I just had a buyer message me asking what it would cost to ship it to Mexico, and I'm not sure what to tell them. I imagine that they will pay my $5 flat-rate fee plus whatever the GSP charges them, right? Is there a way for me or them to find this out? Also, what can I expect to pay as the seller, only what it costs me to ship to the Global Shipping Center minus $5??
Thanks in advance!

The Megazord listing doesn't have shipping to Mexico so that means that the gsp will not ship that particular item there. If you want to send it to Mexico you would have to ship it directly. I believe that Priority has delivery confirmation but first class, flat rate envelope and small flat rate box do not. You would have to figure out a price that you were going to charge to ship there. I'm not sure if you could add that since you have bids but if the buyer won the auction you could add the shipping cost to the invoice.
If you want to prevent inquires from buyers in countries that the gsp does not have a cost for, you should set up your preferences. Go to my account, site preferences, buyer requirements and check off "block buyers who have a primary shipping address in a country that I don't ship to."

All the buyer has to do is to look at the listing and it is there for their address. I could be wrong, but I think the buyer maybe would prefer that you ship it directly (via whatever shipping courier of your choice) to him/her and lessen the import/duty fees and VAT if any.
For instance, I chose this item from your active items and this is what the buyer would have to pay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Nintendo-Entertainment-System-SNES-Classic-Edition-Ready-to-Ship/1728...
Shipping & Handling is: $21.03 & Import Charges are $35.58 - total $56.61

@datinman69 - ran out of edit time, the total amount of the item and shipping will be $221.87 . . . $21.30 (shipping)+ 35.58 (fees) + 164.99 (cost of item) = $221.87

OK, thanks. However, the buyer is asking about my other item. For some reason, if I view the listing and set my location to Mexico, I see "The seller has not specified a shipping method to Mexico. Contact the seller- opens in a new window or tab and request shipping to your location." Any reason why this listing is different? How do I fix it?

For the item that I selected, Mexico was added for that item, so I checked the other one and did not see Mexico on the drop-down menu, so it would have to be added for GPS delivery. With bids I'm a bit rusty on making changes, but I think it will be okay to add it.

You can't just add a country to the gsp list. When the lisiting is set up, the gsp automatically lists which countries it will ship that item to. If there is no gsp shipping cost then the gsp can't be used.

@pjcdn2005 thanks, I was not sure - rusty retired former seller 🙂

Thanks for the info. That's kind of what I was thinking but wasn't sure. It's weird that one item would ship to Mexico and one wouldn't. What dictates that, the size of the package?
