I see a lot of comments regarding a drop in sales but am I the only one who believes it is because of the cost to ship items even using first class mail. I do not understand why ebay cannot negotiate better prices for their sellers. Another platform charges $7.45 to ship anything up to 5 lbs. using priority mail. I know - they charge higher fees but that is not the issue I am talking about. If a smaller company can negotiate that kind of price for their sellers with the post office, it seems reasonable to me that ebay could do something. I am not even suggesting that everything be sent priority; I am just suggesting that it is time for ebay to go back to the table with the USPS and do a better deal.

Could by the shippers won't go any lower. The river built their own delivery company. That could not have been cheap but it must have been a better deal than they could get from the shippers.

If another platform charges less for shipping and more for fees - it probably evens itself out. It depends on what platform you feel comfortable selling on. I Print out my shipping labels, so I get a discounted rate and I pass that on the customer. I notice that some sellers really pad their shipping fees, to make up for the Ebay Cut. I notice this a lot.

IMHO the drop in sales is because of inflation. Increased fuel cost equals increased everything. People spend more on necessities and less on eby goodies, unless you sell necessary items on eby. Throw in covid and a few other things to make matters worse.
