Consolidation center - any way to intercept there and have it sent back?

I mixed up two orders and of course one was going international.  The package was scanned into the eBay Consolidation Ctr yesterday and is still there.  Is it possible to have the pkg stopped there and sent back to me?  I chatted with eBay help but they couldn't do anything but pass my question onto their int'l team who will supposedly get back to me in 24-48 hours.

Ouch. Sorry to tell you but there's no way to retrieve it.

I suppose there's a slim possibility the international team will get back to you, but I wouldn't count on it. I've never seen a package retrieved when GSP was the international program, nor when EISD went into effect. I don't think it will be any different with EIS.

Assuming you don't hear back from the shipping team, this is how I would handle it:

Refund the international buyer and abandon the package going to them. Exception: if the item is that high value shirt, work out a return either with a label (DHL works) or funds for return shipping.

Ask the domestic buyer to refuse the package and tell them you'll refund once tracking shows its on the way back to you.

Communicate with both buyers and apologize. Buyers may not be happy, but if your approach is genuine any reasonable person will understand and work with you.

Ugh, pretty much what I figured.  Of course the Int'l buyer received the more expensive item (both were the same brand and size).  I'm going to have the US buyer return what she received and refund her, then if the other buyer will return what she gets I'll relist both items for the two buyers.  

It's been at least 2 years since I've made this kind of a goof, and wouldn't you know it had to be with an international sale.  😑

Same brand and size - international buyer might like the different item and want to keep it without a refund which would be less costly for you to not pay international return shipping.
