Confused about shipping!

I'm a new seller from Saudi Arabia, and shipping makes me so confused!

When I fill the domestic shipping details, it acts as my location is in the US and the services all from there! Even though my item's location is in Saudi!

When I fill the international shipping section, and when I calculate, it acts like I'm in the US also and my country as international, which makes the price high for people from my country. Even though I put my zip code in the calculated section. Is all of this supported in my country? and Also, what should I do as a seller not from the US?  Thanks

eBay.com is the US site.  If you list on eBay.com, then "domestic" shipping means shipping within the US.

The term "ZIP Code" is used for postal codes in the US.  If your address is not in the US, then you might have a postal code, but you do not have a ZIP Code.

Sellers who ship from locations outside the US must enter flat rates for shipping; they cannot use calculated shipping since that's for services originating in the US.

What do you recommend me doing? should I first get quotes from my desired shipping company then put the shipping price as a ebay standard shipping?

Yes, you'll have to first figure out the shipping cost from the carrier that you will be using. Then in domestic shipping chose either standard, economy or expedited shipping from outside of the US. That will you gave you a longer time frame and will also let buyers know that you are shipping from another country.

In the international shipping area you would use economy, standard or expedited international shipping.

Interesting, I don't see or you haven't received any feedback as a Seller. Since you don't have any listings either, you might be registered as a U S based buyer with an address is Saudi Arabia

I never sold any items before. Just got approved for managed payments yesterday and now I listed my first item, but for some reason it isn't showing in the search results, some people said it will take up to 24 hours so I will wait and see.

Last question:

Why it wouldn't let me put more than $20 cost of shipping in the domestic shipping section while using standard shipping from outside the US? even when I put economy or expedited, it won't let me exceed the $20 maximum amount!!

There is a shipping cost limit in some categories on the US site and it also applies to sellers outside of the US. I don't think that's fair but that's how it works. Here is a list of the categories that do have a maximum shipping cost.
