Combining items in one shipment

I want to combine items in a shipment for a buyer - does the buyer put the items in his/her cart first and then requests a invoice from me? Buyer has not paid yet and nothing shows up in "Awaiting Payment."

Yes, the easiest is for them to put the items in their cart and then request an invoice. There have been some posts about it not working but I don't recall seeing a problem. Maybe it is if you and/or the buyer is using a smart phone as opposed to a PC (that's what I use).

If he buys and pays for the items individually then the choice becomes to calculate the shipping and issue a partial refund.

Yes, that's the best thing to do. It will only work on the website, not the app. Come back if you need more help.

On the website, there is an ask the seller for the total option upon checking out with multiple items. Provide them the correct combinwed shipping & then wait for the buyer to pay. The other way is to have the buyer pay the ebay total & then you issue a refund for the combined shipping rate.
