Cheapest way to ship 16 magazines

Hey, I put up a bunch of homeschooling magazines to sell. Listing them I knew they couldn’t ship media mail so put them up in lots of two for $9.99 and planned to ship first class as the two magazines were under 13oz. These were $9.99 free shipping. No problem right? Wrong

i just woke up to see someone bought 8 listings worth of magazines which is a total of 16. I’m thankful they sold but quietly panicking. How should I ship these so they won’t cost me a fortune!!

Ive been browsing the forums here for a few ideas and figured I should just flat out ask for advice. The total weight of all magaines sold just magazines alone is - 4 pounds and 10oz. This the magazines by themselves. Not in a box or anything.

Any ideas or suggestings? Thanks

flate rate box...use ebay labels and you get a bit of discount price...

if you sent 2 first class...it would still be $3+... so 8X3 would have been $24+/-

my point the medium flate rate and if you must the large  would still be cheaper..

but otherwise you can try sending priority ...weight and size box....distance...see what it cost

if you sold 2 for $9.99  then you grossed $80 ish right...  8 lots (2 each) so you won;t make a lot , but still could do ok

Online postage  for a 13-ounce First Class package is $4.10; so 8 packages would cost 8 x $4.10 = $32.80. Even at 10 ounces each, the total postage would be $28.00.

Online Priority Mail postage for a single 6-pound package costs $7.52 - $24.07 depending on distance.

My suggestion: Be grateful that somebody bought them all so you don't have to spend $32 on postage for 8 separate packages.

If you have a Regional B box available, that would be cheaper than a regular weight-based postage.  A flat-rate box might be cheaper depending on the buyer's location (and of course whether the 16 magazines fit in it).

Those are lightweight magazines apparently. I would imagine that all 16 would fit nicely into an RRA sideloader, which would ship anywhere for $11 or less depending on zip code.  Those boxes are only available online, so if you don't already have one...

The next best thing would be a MFRB sideloader. They'll ship for around $14. (not too sure of the price on those boxes) You should be able to get one of those at the Post Office.

If you're going to be selling magazines, booklets and such, order some RRA and RRB sideloader boxes. The RRA boxes are my best friend when it comes to shipping booklets, pamphlets and magazines that don't qualify for Media Mail.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.
