Charged for Underpaid Shipping on a Canceled Order That Never Shipped

I just got a notification that I underpaid shipping on an item from nearly 3 months ago. This item and the associated order were canceled and the buyer was refunded. Why am I being charged underpaid shipping for an order that never shipped? How can I dispute this false transaction/claim?

Looks like you accidentally used the label on another order.....

and it would have cost 8.00 (4.02 + 3.98) instead of what the label cost

Hi @tiltedtimecompany. You voided an unused shipping label, received a refund, then today you were charged again for the same label. The label was scanned in METRO NY.

This is a known issue. It is fraud and USPS is responsible.

Do not waste time contacting eBay or USPS customer service. eBay is already working on this with USPS and has confirmed they will be issuing refunds to impacted sellers. No timeline as of yet. Read more about it here:
