I understand that "changing ship from address" has been covered extensively and I did search and read multiple posts and so I think I understand the situation however I wanted to confirm.
My situation is that I sold an item and the buyer didn't read the description and wants to return the item. I could refuse but I'm not an A-hole so I offer to exchange the item for one that meets his needs, along with a return label for him to affix to the same box so he can send the originally sent item back to me.
Printing another label to send him the replacement item is easy, just "print another label".
My trouble starts when I have to print a label to include in the box for my seller to use to return the item back to me-
I can change the "ship to" address no problem. I am aware the seller protections are void, that is fine.
Changing "ship from" remains impossible. If I leave it as is, the ship from and ship to address will BOTH be my address and will very likely get stuck in the USPS system due to "incorrect ship from location" and never show up to my address, ending up in a USPS lost mail auction or something like that...
So I think that in order to be able to print a label with my address as the "ship to" address and my customers address as the "ship from" address, I would need to purchase this myself through a different website than ebay for example USPS.com correct?
I'd like to be able to do it all from ebay, especially because of the shipping discounts, but I just cannot figure out a way to change the ship from address. Ebay makes it so difficult- I've tried via mobile phone and desktop.
If I have to print the return label somewhere else then that's what I'll do but it'd be nice to confirm that that's the only option.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

It's fine that address will BOTH be my address, @funktion415, because coming or going, it needs to be delivered to me.
Then to print a label to include in the box for my seller to use to return the item back to me, just get the same discount at this link. But be sure to use the seller's zip code, to calculate the correct postage to cover the distance for the return from the seller back to me.

Quoting from eBay's article with shipping:
You can also review, add, or update your addresses at any time in My eBay:
I would check the ship from address to make sure it is the primary address.

Use Pirate Ship. Free to sign up and they offer same discounts as eBay.

Is there a time sensitive reason you think it is a good idea to replace an item before getting the incorrect one back ?
I assume it is a buyer you have dealt with before and can trust.

Thanks to all who replied to my question, I appreciate it. There are more than one correct answer but the link provided by "Otow_18" provided me with the ability to print a label and use the buyers zip code which is ultimately what I needed in order to ensure that the USPS return the item to me with no issues.

... nevermind

Nevermind what? Sorry but I'm just curious what you were possibly about to say, but decided to write "nevermind" instead for some reason...
It just strikes me as slightly odd since most people that want to excuse themselves and not be 'minded' would just not write anything at all since only saying "nevermind" is not worth even mentioning since it has no real value in the conversation, imo respectively. Neither does it ask a question nor provide any suggestion, advice or commentary.
I'd be pleased to admit to a mistake if there's something I'm missing so please correct me if I'm wrong, if t's my first post on this forum and I appreciate any input whatsoever.

maybe other readers are just wondering why you are not following established procedures
the buyer is under no obligation to send anything back to you
most of the time if the buyer has made a msitake then it s a simple return
you are making a return difficult...........the buyer only needs to use the return button
it appears that you do not have a return plan with ebay and are trying to wing it.
maybe you are trying to avoid a return being filed........my guess is that they make you nervous
