I could not use usps because of a hazmat requirement. I sent it freight and absorbed the addl expenses. The buyer received the package and is happy. It has been a few days since they received it. The item shows not delivered probably because it does show usps and my freight tracking number won’t work

Was there a question or are you just venting?

As long as the buyer is happy that is all that matters.

For many orders I also use shippers that are not integrated with the eBay system, those sales (hundreds of them) never show delivered (on eBay).

If you have a lot of them it can affect your ability to maintain Top Rated status, if you just have the occasional one it means nothing at all.

If you edit the tracking number to the new number then it might show delivered.

I wouldn't worry about it. If the buyer is happy and doesn't open up an Ebay case, any funds on hold will eventually be released to you after 30 days since you are a new seller on Ebay and are subject to payment holds.

BUT

If you don't use one of the integrated carriers that Ebay supports and a dishonest buyer decides to open up an "item not received" you will 100% loose the case because you don't have a tracking number that Ebay recognizes proving delivery and will be forced to refund.

What is your risk tolerance for the likelihood this scenario happening to you?
