Case put on hold for additional info but eBay didnt ask me for anything

I have oppened a return/refund case because a seller listed a product as new and sent me a destroyed one, and then eBay put my case on hold saying that i had received an e-mail asking for additional information, but i did not receive anything, and eBay is not responding to my emails. 

 

To make the situation even worse eBay gave me a deadline of a few days to provide this additional info. 

 

I already emailed eBay twice about this issue, with no response from them. What should i do? Has this happened to anyone else?

don't worry if your a buyer you will win the case. my buyer had a dead line of feb 12th yet i received item feb 24th & not even all of the items were there, they were missing & boke pcs. buyer got refunded any ways. go to the help page & at the bottom it will say "have ebay contact you. hit that then, it will ask you what it is you need help with, hit the boxes that apply to you. they will call you within 9hrs. hope that helps

I'm not certain but I think that letter is for the seller but for some reason they also send it to you.  If that's the case you can ignore it.   Buyers aren't generally asked to prove anything for a return so I can't think of a reason why they would send a letter asking for more information from a buyer.
