I was wondering if there is someone who can help me here? I sold an item which was unavailable but the buyer had already paid before I realised that. I refunded the amount straight away through Paypal (stupidly) but when I tried to cancel the transaction through ebay I got an error message and no way to request help from eBay. Now my fees are due (fairly sizeable) and I cannot cancel it in any way. All the messages to eBay went unanswered - is there a way to contact eBay people and get the problem sorted?

Although you have refunded your buyer, since you were unable to complete the transaction, with out of stock cancellations, expect a defect & eBay does not refund final value fees, in the USA

Click on Help & Contact (at the top or bottom of the page), and choose the topic you need help with. Keep going through the topic tree until you get to the end, then there will be contact options at the bottom of the page. You probably need to scroll down to see them. Currently the best way is "Have us call you". In my recent experience, they place with call within the estimated time or a little less, 5 to 25 minutes for me.
For future reference, you should cancel the transaction from eBay, in this situation using the rason "Out of stock", and the refund will be sent automatically. That way you get the fee credit automatically.

Thanks, but the only option I see there is "Email Us' and I have used it dozen times already to no avail.
