Hi,

i recently accidentally paid for an item on eBay and I requested to cancel the item within an hour of purchasing. 

Am am I entitled to a full refund?

No, not unless the seller agreed to cancel your purchase, and sellers are never obligated to cancel bids or purchases.

It's simply a request.  Depending on the volume of the seller, it may not be feasible for them to cancel.    Many small volume sellers will cancel in a minute because it doesn't bring [mass] production to a halt to pull one order.

If the seller accepts returns, you can return it after it arrives.
