Cancellation rejected, later closed return, now the item hasn’t arrived for a month now

Hi I tried to cancel an order of something I bought recently but it got rejected, so I tried opening a return request but I later closed it because I decided I wanted the item. Now it keeps saying it hasn’t even been shipped yet and it was supposed to arrive August 29th. Ebay won’t let me do anything because it says a return case is open but I closed it weeks ago. I can’t even contact Ebay themselves and the seller won’t reply.

You might check your Paypal account or credit card account (if that's how you paid).   You may have already been refunded.

The Bought,   Return I don't want it,  closed early now I want it, cycle probably has the seller pulling out his hair wondering how he managed to get into this confusing selling nightmare.

Go check and see if you were refunded.

#1 You placed an order and paid for an item.

#2 You changed your mind and wanted to cancel the order

# 2 You opened a return case even though you didn't have the item

#3 You changed your mind again and decided to keep it when it arrives.

#4 You closed your return request

#5  Ebay says that your return request is still open

#6 Seller will not respond

#7  Seller is probably scared of a scam

I'm guessing the buyer has been refunded and that's why the seller has him on ignore.

Good guess!! 

I would BLOCK the buyer ASAP. That is the best protection sellers have on ebay for future sales from a repeat customer. Everything else protects the buyer!!
