Cancel a shipping label

I encountered a technical error when generating a shipping label. The label was unable to show or print. I had to purchase another label. Is it possible to cancel the first one as I was charged twice when creating the label?

Cancel a shipping label

Hi @luanbo0102 ,

Good news, use the link below to your Shipping labels page, find the transaction you want to VOID and use the little pull down menu over on the left and Select Void.  You will be asked a reason, select the one closest to the issue or chose Other.

It will take about 14 days or less for the amount you paid to be credited back to your.

Cancel a shipping label

I was able to void the label following these directions, but it will not let me add the new tracking number I got when I shipped it at the post office (had to pay for an additional label because first one wouldn't print).

I will now get a defect for not having the tracking number in and accepted by the usps, unless I can get it in today  (the second one).

Maybe I'll just have to take the defect and let it go, as i did let the customer know the new number.

This has totally changed since I used to sell regularly here.    It seems like everything is against the seller, taking away all control from us.

Can you clarify "it will not let me add the new tracking number" @toyboxcity? Is there an error message you're encountering?

While you cannot remove tracking if you purchase a label on eBay, you do have the ability to add up to 5 tracking numbers to a transaction. From this page you'll see the original tracking number with an Edit link next to it. Click on that and you can add the second tracking number.

Tip for next time: If your only issue was printing, you could have voided the first label then still purchased the second label with a discount instead of paying more at the PO. You could have purchased a second label on eBay, this time using the QR code option. It sends a QR code to your e-mail that the PO clerk scans (from your phone) and uses to print the physical label.

TY ... I tried to find a way to get a qr code, but got so frustrated with everything I gave up.   I am definitely going to take your advice on this if it happens again.

QR code has to be selected before you purchase the label @toyboxcity. So for the label that was generated with the print/download option your only option was to print or void. There is no way to convert an existing label to a QR code.

But purchasing a new label, you could choose QR code beforehand. Hope that helps.
