No. Someone has to physically scan it like a clerk at the counter or your mail carrier upon pickup. You cannot leave it in the box.
Dude, why don't you post your new shipping questions on one of your existing threads from today instead of starting a string of new ones? It's not like they're 200 post discussions where the question will get lost. 😛

Ok, in that case, I would prefer to scan them myself at the self service machine. But then there is usually some rude impatient person right behind me acting like hurry up!

Those USPS lobby machines are supposed to be 24 hours, 7 days a week. You could always pick a time when "some rude impatient person" might not be right behind you.

I just thought of something, what about, scan the scan form barbode at the self service machine, does that work?

I don't know, but you can scan individual packages at the SSK.
