Hi everyone I am having an issue right now,
I bought an oculus rift on eBay almost 2 weeks ago, and after a week of the initial purchase and multiple message sent to the seller I had recieved no replies or proof of shipment. It seemed to me that the seller had changed their mind or had no intention of actually selling the item. So I asked eBay to step in and they sided in my favor to get a refund. However they are asking me to return the item and provide proof of shipment. Here is my issue. I never recieved the item so I can't exactly send it back. Will I still recieve my refund? I also can not call live support as they are closed down during this corona virus pandemic.

Why would you open a RETURN case when you never received the item?
You should have opened a case for ITEM NOT RECEIVED.
You can’t open another case through eBay, but if you paid through PayPal, go there and open the CORRECT case.

You can email eBay.

but is there nothing else that eBay staff could do?
No, you only get 1 chance to file a claim on Ebay.
You'll have to file an item not received case on Pay Pal.

Turns out you can, infact, email eBay's support and they will change the type of claim for you. I was able to get this sorted out earlier and got my refund.

Based on situations that I've read on the board, a buyer can file an inr claim and then a nad on ebay. Are you saying that you can't do it the opposite way?
