Calculated eBay shipping

So here's my silly question, plz be patient as I am somewhat new to eBay. If I have an item listed and I choose the calculated shipping and put in all the correct info needed for the shipping charge, it will show me a low-high shipping fee. When I actually list the item it will always show the lowest shipping fee? What happens if the buyer lives across the US from me and the shipping will cost the highest amount calculated, does eBay automatically recalculate for the distance of the buyer and charge them the correct shipping fee or do I have to deal with that problem??

Example: (Say I live in N. Carolina and it's shipping to California or Washington State... eBay has $8.75 and the actual cost is $22.35)

Re: Calculated eBay shipping

Calculated shipping uses the buyers zip code to determine the shipping amount. If you change your zip code on the "Shipping" tab, you will see the change in the shipping amount.

Re: Calculated eBay shipping

When a listing has calculated shipping, it will automatically show the postage cost from your ZIP Code to the ZIP Code of any member who looks at your listing. So when a seller looks at their own listing, they will see the postage cost to ship to a buyer in their own ZIP Code. You can go to the "Shipping and payments" tab in the listing to see what happens when you change the ZIP Code.

Thank you for doing that which I did not....................to wit, write a simple, yet comprehensive explanation. One that was not composed in a great hurry and thus was probably more confusing than it was educational.......................seems my teaching skills have atrophied...............
