These last couple months USPS has been getting alot of packages delivered about 2-5 days late and no its not to places that have had weather issues, I have noticed this trend over the course of a couple months, the crazy buyers then are blaming me and leaving negative feedback since ebay nicely shows a "guaranteed delivery" date now on everything !
How are you guys dealing with these ridiculus policies and how are you dealing with the moron buyers who think you should give them a full refund before the item even arrives because they also think you are a USPS postal employee ???!!!!
Ebay really needs to implement a policy that if you shipped the item with tracking and it comes a few days late buyers should not be able to leave a neg, for something out of your control.

I did a lot of shopping on the Big River around the holidays and the interesting thing is that even "free 2-day Prime" sometimes took longer than 2 days because of the crush of traffic.

"2-day delivery" is the estimated transit time once the carrier accepts/scans the package to when it is delivered. It does not necessarily mean that a buyer will have an item in their hands 48 hours after they pay for something.
I order stuff off the "Jungle" with 2-day prime shipping, and sometimes it takes 3-4 days. It happens.

I am not aware of any special rates for 2 day shipping Most Priorty mail has expected delivery times of 2 to 3 days not guanteed!! this will even be stated on the shipping label.
When you say you paid extra for 2 Day shipping did you mean Express Mail. If so then that service is guaranteed by the post office. I believe the seller has to request the refund and then be refunded to you however I am not sure how the process works other than it is guaranteed to be delivered by 3p.m. by the scheduled date.
I would check what service you paid for and then check with your local post office as they should be able to help you with any questions you may have.

Hi @bolensparts-360, we actually will remove feedback on shipping within the Guaranteed Delivery program if a seller who selected the handling time option met their handling time commitment (item was shipped during the stated handling time).
Feedback outside of a Guaranteed Delivery transaction can also be reviewed for removal. We will review the full transaction including all communication between the buyer and seller before making a decision on these comments and may be able to remove a feedback. If you have a specific feedback you would like reviewed, don't hesitate to contact Customer Service for account specific assistance.

I bought an item from auto4(92202). The ad said "2 day delivery". I needed in that two day period as we were reinstalling an engine in my pickup. I paid for the extra shipping to get it in two days. PayPal paid on Nov.30. (seller said Dec1-not true) Two day would be Dec2. The item wasn't delivered until Dec.4.
I think the sellers have more clout than individual buyers. They should go after USPS for late deliveries such as I had. I expected the seller to return the difference between what I paid and what regular shipping would have cost. I didn't return the item. Perhaps it might come in handy some day in the future.
Now the seller has left the following comment on my account: "Buyer was totally unfair and illogical. I have no control over the USPS and that is why I reported him to Ebay. He is on my blocked buyer list too as I refuse to do business with morons."
If I had the time to show my conversations with the buyer, you'd see I wasn't illogical but respectful in each message. I don't really care he removed me from his buyer list, as I wouldn't want to do business with him again anyway. I'm sure I can get along with Ebay as this is the first negative comment I've ever made. I just reported EXACTLY" how the transaction worked out.
My bottom line is that I feel that if the sellers are aware that USPS is having problems delivering on time, then they just should not offer 2 day shipping.
I'll never pay for 2 day shipping again. I've learned my lesson.
The sellers here on this site have no control over USPS shipping time frames . If the seller got it into the P.O. on Thursday by 1:00 pm for two express service if that is what you paid for , it is on the USPS for not delivery it on Saturday . if it was priority mail and you got on Monday! then it was delivered on time. Ebay isn't the river and does not have any fulfillment centers like they do, and can it too the buyers fast same day or in 2 days . then ebay isn't for you.

It was purchased on Thursday 9 pm PST so the seller must have mailed it on Friday. Monday delivery seems reasonable to me.

I read through it fast so I missed that . I agree with you 100% That monday delivery was very reasonable. The seller needs to call ebay and be a bulldog on getting the Neg. removed .

Here's a big part of the problem.
go to ebay.com right there in huge letters is "Free shipping is always part of the deal"
in the past there have been headings like "2 day shipping guaranteed" and so on.
There is no mention that this only applies to the items you see when you click on that banner. Add in that eBay hides the handling times on our listings and it's a recipe for unhappy buyers. The buyer will leave us,, the seller the neg that eBay deserved, we drop in standing until eBay restricts us. Next seller gets signed up and the whole thing repeats itself.

Has anyone seen the ebay tv ad for "guaranteed delivery in 3 days?" I caught it once, December 18, but I wasn't fully paying attention at first. I just recall thinking it SHOULD be running with disclaimers similar to prescription meds...especially that close to Christmas! To the casual ebay buyer, or anyone like me who halfway pays attention to ads to begin with, it certainly sounded like a blanket statement regarding all ebay purchases. I think the GD program & promotions of that program only set up false buyer expectations.

100% agree. I've noticed those banners on the home page from time and time and they move away so quickly that I haven't had a chance to see if there's any fine print. I figure that has a lot to do with buyers complaining about not getting their items in 2 or 3 days...because ebay is "tricking" them into believing that guaranteed delivery and free shipping apply to everything on the site.

This makes me wonder if any Ebay sellers have ever filed or won a class action for Ebay penalizing sellers (in any way) just for USPS system delays!

The OP refers to one of his buyers as a 'knuckle dragger'.
Bad idea but thanks for the laugh OP! That is funny and one of the reasons I come here for a laugh!
