These last couple months USPS has been getting alot of packages delivered about 2-5 days late and no its not to places that have had weather issues, I have noticed this trend over the course of a couple months, the crazy buyers then are blaming me and leaving negative feedback since ebay nicely shows a "guaranteed delivery" date now on everything !
How are you guys dealing with these ridiculus policies and how are you dealing with the moron buyers who think you should give them a full refund before the item even arrives because they also think you are a USPS postal employee ???!!!!
Ebay really needs to implement a policy that if you shipped the item with tracking and it comes a few days late buyers should not be able to leave a neg, for something out of your control.

And that's probably exactly why.

We tried to tell you there would be problems like this when GD was first announced. How can you prevent this kind of abuse to sellers for things entirely out of their control, yet heavily promoted by Corporate?

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

While I totally agree with you, eBay's stance (at least that is what I've read here on the boards) is that "you (the Seller) chose the carrier," which I personally think is hot air. I shipped a few pkgs recently and I hear the Clerks say " . . . will be there 2-3 days, but we cannot guarantee it." So if the carrier cannot agree, how is it the seller's fault?
With the natural disaster's that happened recently and weather-related occurrences, folks should take that into the equation. When we had the snow storm here in the NE, there was no mail delivery that day. I suspect eBay expects for the Sellers to invest in drone delivery.

The op doesn't have a guaranteed delivery date on their listings...it is an estimated date.

Pretty much everything I sent to the East coast for the last couple months took longer than expected, but I used 2 day handling time on my listings and shipped the same day or next day. I never received any complaints from buyers, but I'm sure some of them did arrive later than the estimated delivery date.
As a buyer, I'm not interested in a guaranteed delivery date on most things because I know that's out of the sellers' control. If I really want something in a hurry, I'll pay to have it overnighted or for 2 day delivery. I would prefer to have a search filter for a "guaranteed to be shipped by (x date)". I would have no problem holding a seller accountable if they failed to meet that deadline.

I had someone leave me a negitive for slow and expensive shipping although it was through the Global shipping program. I was able to get it removed since the seller has nothing to do with the time and cost for that program.
Thank you all.

I feel for you. Many (not all) buyers have a "free two-day Prime" mentality and aren't aware/don't care about weather delays and such. Ebay turns a blind eye to make sales.
But I gotta say, your emotional replies are NOT good avertising or an excuse. It won't change any minds. That's the environment we are in...
Good luck~

I think the sellers have more clout than individual buyers. They should go after USPS for late deliveries such as I had. I expected the seller to return the difference between what I paid and what regular shipping would have cost. I didn't return the item. Perhaps it might come in handy some day in the future.
Now the seller has left the following comment on my account: "Buyer was totally unfair and illogical. I have no control over the USPS and that is why I reported him to Ebay. He is on my blocked buyer list too as I refuse to do business with morons."
If I had the time to show my conversations with the buyer, you'd see I wasn't illogical but respectful in each message. I don't really care he removed me from his buyer list, as I wouldn't want to do business with him again anyway. I'm sure I can get along with Ebay as this is the first negative comment I've ever made. I just reported EXACTLY" how the transaction worked out.
My bottom line is that I feel that if the sellers are aware that USPS is having problems delivering on time, then they just should not offer 2 day shipping.
I'll never pay for 2 day shipping again. I've learned my lesson.

ALL shipping dates are ESTIMATES. It is NOT possible to guarantee a delivery transit time or arrival date. Even high level services like FedEx Custom Critical can't do that.
November 30th was a Thursday. December 2nd was a Saturday -- possible if the order went out very early Thursday morning. Unlikelyif it went out any later. Decenber 4th was Monday which would be the normal expected arrival of 'two days'.

Negative wording in feedback left for a buyer is a selling violation. You can call ebay and have it removed

You are driving future good buyers away with your angry responses. Plus you are violating ebay rules by outing buyer user ids like that.

You purchased it at 21:18 PST - Thursday. Your seller was in Georgia - so they got the order at 12:18 a.m. - Friday. Even if they weren't sleeping, the PO was.
Did you pay for Priority Express (22.95 + $12.95 for Sunday delivery)? or Regular Priority ($6.45)?
They mailed it that day - Friday. 2 day delivery would make it Monday - Dec 4 - which is exactly when you received it. (Unless you paid that $35.90 for Sunday delivery)
That negative you left was completely unjust.

That's good that you were able to get it removed. But saying that GSP shipping is slow and expensive is, many times, simply a statement of fact.
