Buyer bought 3 items on auction, and ebay combined them all into one transaction and buyer paid for them all at once. I shipped in one box. Now buyer wants to return only 2. Is that possible? Can she select "return" for two of the items, but not the other? If so, how many labels will I need to issue? How many boxes will it need to come in?

its real simple, ebay will pro rate the return shipping, the buyer will have to file 2 returns,he can send them both back in 1 box or 2,it is really quite simple to take returns on a combined package

If buyer is opening a return, through the system; it would be for the transaction total. You will have to refund that total. If the buyer opened a return and wants to keep 1, they will have to close the return, send the other 2 back (on their dime) and allow you to do a partial refund through paypal, to include deducting the FVF's that you will not get back by doing a refund that way. Otherwise, they can't keep 1, must send back what was purchased.

If it was 3 separate auctions then the returns are all separate
so if ebay is supplying the label it will be 2 labels
I have purchased multiple items and have had to return them separate
Here are the scenarios

Multiple listings from the same seller – You can return each item. For example, you buy three books that the seller listed individually, but you paid for all of them at once at checkout. You can return each book individually

Hi: Thank you! I see this is how it has worked. I now have three return requests, all from the same buyer. It looks like I need to accept each one separately, though, which seemingly will force me to issue 3 separate return labels, and force the buyer to ship them all separately. Is that correct? I clicked, "accept the return" on the first one, but have not issued the label yet. This is a potential hardship for the buyer, since she only received two boxes, but is returning three things. How do I handle that?
