Hi. My buyer purchased and paid with paypal. Now they want to pick up at my shop. I thought we HAD to enter a tracking number to follow eBay rules. I can mark item as shipped....but then I won't be able to add the tracking number......Do I cancel the order? And let them pay at the shop? I think it was a gift from someone out of town for the local to pick up. TIA Margie

If you didn’t list the item for local pickup then you need to ship the item otherwise you will get dinged for not shipping on time and you will have no seller protection against an item not received case. You can’t just cancel the transaction and collect cash—you would get in big trouble with eBay for taking the sale off eBay & getting a final value fee credit (although they are supposed to chArge you a FVF if they suspect with no proof that you engaged in a sale off eBay). I think you can skip canceling and just refund the buyer through PayPal so eBay keeps their fee OR cancel the transaction & relist the item with local pickup & remove the immediate payment requirement so the buyer can pay cash.

That's what I thought. I read other suggestions to cancel sale & accept cash - that didn't seem right. I also thought I couldn't list as Pick-up unless certain item. They decided to have shipped - so I'm good this time. But I know this will come up again. Thanks.
